Fox Division News ---Branson Update---Spring 2003
Since my February 25th "solicitation"
to our on-line fellows, Cadden and Spears have registered to join
Holman, Lane, Page, Pinson, Rainboth, Richards, Ray, Schneider, and
Spencer for what is going to be another exciting gathering of the Fox
Division.
It's not too late and I'm encouraging
those still undecided to get on board.
Settle Inn Resort & Conference
Center---Monday, September 21 through Wednesday, September 23,
2003---Rate is $70.07 including tax and deluxe
continental breakfast--Call Judy Murphy at 1-800-677-6906 to make
your reservation.
Be sure to mention you're with the Fox
Division. That rate is good for the immediate day(s) before and
after the official reunion dates if you wish a longer stay, and
provided rooms are still available at that time. If you want more
information on the Settle Inn,
Show Guide--Branson
is of course loaded with numerous stage shows: variety; music;
comedy; 50's; country, and other attractions. Almost overwhelming
when it's time to decide which to see or do. To help you out, we're
advising the Branson Chamber of Commerce of the addresses of those
registering at the Settle Inn. The Chamber will mail you the Branson
Show Guide listing all shows and activities including prices, show
times, and phone numbers. Because of the diversity of interests and
events available, we have committed everyone to just one, (see
below), so please keep availability for that. Otherwise you have
flexibility to pick and choose whatever shows you wish to see as you
please. Additionally, Sheri will be coordinating a possible
excursion on the Branson Scenic Railway. But she
needs your input to put it together. If this might interest you,
please call her soon at
816-331-0292.
Finale event---we
have committed to a traditional Fox reunion-ending event.
This year we'll board the Branson Belle Showboat
for a cruise with dinner and a lively show. Set aside
1515 to 1830 on Wednesday afternoon for this special occasion.
Cost per person after our military and group discount is $36
including tax and gratuity. However, for our paid
members only we plan to offer a
"rebate" from our treasury surplus, similar to how we handled
our Tucson excursion into Mexico. Depending on how many join us
in Branson, which will determine the total group cost, the
rebate should range upward from a likely minimum of 50%. Good
deal for our paid-ups! ($15 to Carl Ray will do it). If anyone
does not want to participate in the Showboat excursion please
let me know shortly as we must do a deposit.
As always,
if you have any questions
or concerns
let me know:
e-mail; mail; or phone
(989-652-2086).
Roland (Moose) Schneider
PS--we'll be updating those signing in for
Branson as we move closer, but this IS the last
newsletter to those Fox not registered for Branson, or who have
not paid the $15 dues, or who have not communicated their interest
in this or future Fox Division activities.
